With a diverse range of experience across field biology and environmental management operations, Luke brings a unique and multidisciplinary approach to the research and development to enable growth of FGS’s technology and process. Luke’s comprehensive understanding of data collection, experimental design and in-depth knowledge of daily operations ensure a rigorous yet practical approach to developing the Project. Luke is passionate, hard-working and dedicated to the commercialisation of FGS.

Melissa Bolton

Environmental Approvals & Regulation

Bachelor of Science (Environmental Biology)

Melissa has over 10 years’ experience working within the WA mining industry; primarily in environmental approvals, compliance and regulation. Melissa’s experience in approvals and licensing will assist FGS in obtaining the required environmental approvals. Melissa also provides support to the business in editing and peer review of reports and assisting in the development of grant applications

Mark Meyer

Sales and Partnerships

Bachelor of Marine Sciences (Biology and Ecology)

Mark’s combination of environmental field experience and time as a secondary educator has been instrumental in communicating FGS’s technology and research achievements to industry partners, stakeholders and the general public. Mark continues to manage communications via the FGS social media accounts and website. Mark has established key contacts with our research and industry partners and continues to maintain these relationships.

Kerry Wheat

Finance and General Administration

Kerry’s experience in small business management has been influential in the formation of FGS company structure, the registration and acceptance for Research and Development (R&D) tax incentives, payroll, asset management, quarterly business activity statements and annual tax returns. This experience has extended also to the management of budgets allocated under recently awarded federal grants.

Geoffrey Wheat

Business Operations

Qualified Plumber and Gas fitter with over 30 years in the residential and commercial construction industry. Geoff’s exposure to, and relationships’ within, the construction industry have developed a unique ability to design and construct prototype equipment and temporary laboratory and rearing facilities. Geoff’s ability to invent new and more efficient rearing methods paved the way for FGS’ advanced process facility.

Terry Agnew

Advisory Board

Terry is acting in an advisory role to contribute to the successful growth of FGS. Terry is an experienced Director, Chair and CEO with a strong track record and involvement with successful and growing organisations. He has proven leadership and advisory experience in private and public companies, mutuals and government business enterprises. He has over 20 years experience as a CEO/MD, most recently as Group CEO of RAC in Western Australia. Terry is passionate about building strong business foundations by focussing on brand, culture, safety, innovation and developing leadership talent. He will be invaluable in guiding, connecting and delivering on the growth strategy of FGS.

Sam McConkey

Advisory Board

Adjunct Professor of Curtin Business School, Honorary Doctor of Curtin University

Sam is an experienced technology executive with particular expertise in scaling up early and mid-stage ventures. Sam is currently the Chief Operating Officer of RateIt, a high growth, venture backed CX tech platform with operations in Australia, Singapore, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining RateIt, Sam was the COO of Sidekicker, an HR tech platform that is now majority owned by SEEK. Sam has an MBA from Wharton, and a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
